217 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the problem with wild goats in the Burren area, County Clare (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6619/03]

My Department is aware of this situation and together with Dúchas, the Heritage Service, in the Department of the Environment and Local Government, is examining possible solutions to the difficulties involved.
