Vol. 562 No. 5

Written Answers - Garda Investigations.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

291 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Garda has been asked to investigate serious allegations that the date of a submission made by a person (details supplied) to Clare county council in respect of a planning application made by a company (details supplied) for a hotel complex, health spa, welcome centre and 48 holiday homes was altered after receipt of the submission, and that an offence may have been committed under the Forgery Act 1913; when he expects that the Garda investigation will be completed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6604/03]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that a formal complaint on this matter was made on February 2003. I am informed that the Garda investigation will be completed as soon as possible.
