336 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 259, 260, 261 and 262 of 4 March 2003, if a verbal commitment was made that the learning support and resource room would commence construction in December 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The board of management at the school in question were advised by letter dated 19 September 2002 that tenders should be submitted to my Department for approval prior to the commencement of any works and that grant assistance was dependent on the level of funding available at the time when tenders were submitted for approval. I am arranging to have a copy of the aforementioned letter forwarded directly to the Deputy.
