Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Hospital Services.

Joan Burton

Question:

397 Ms Burton asked the Minister for Health and Children the action he proposes to take regarding the situation of a person (details supplied) working in a major Dublin hospital who, despite having been given a recent promise of permanency in employment, has been advised that, due to cuts in the health provision to the hospital, her contract will not be renewed when it runs out in June 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6984/03]

Responsibility for staffing matters in this instance rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive to consider the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to her directly.
