399 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a decision will be made on the application by a person (details supplied) in County Kerry for enhanced subvention, on behalf of his spouse (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6986/03]

As responsibility for the administration of the nursing home subvention scheme in Kerry rests with the Southern Health Board, my Department has, therefore, asked the Chief Executive Officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
