Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Visa Applications.

Seán Ó Fearghaíl

Question:

513 Mr. Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the circumstances in which a holiday visa can be issued to a person (details supplied) who wishes to visit a family member, who is married to an Irish citizen, and resident for some time in County Kildare. [7358/03]

My Department's records indicate that the applications in question were refused in November 2002. Appeals in respect of the applications were received in January 2003. The visa appeals officer, having reconsidered the applications, upheld the original decision. It is open to the applicants to make fresh applications with up to date supporting documentation and the matter will be considered anew.
