Written Answers - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Question:

543 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position in relation to the extension to the sewerage scheme in Carndonagh, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7302/03]

Donegal County Council submitted a proposal to my Department in October 2002 for a number of extensions to the Carndonagh sewerage scheme, which is under construction. Additional information requested by my Department from the council in relation to the proposal is awaited.

544 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position in relation to the Phase 3 of the Lagan desert scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7303/03]

The Lagan water supply scheme has been approved for funding in my Department's water services investment programme 2002-2004 under the rural towns and villages initiative. Donegal County Council has recently submitted a revised design report to my Department covering phases 2 and 3 of the scheme. The report is under examination in the Department and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

545 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when approval will be given to proceed with work for the provision of a new sewage scheme for Milltown, Tuam, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7304/03]
