214 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the reason an original work permit and PPS card have not been returned to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who was dismissed from their employment; and if she will make a statement on the matter. When a person leaves their employment or is dismissed, the employer is required to return the work permit to my Department.

I am informed that the documents mentioned by the Deputy have not been returned to my Department and the work permit section has no information concerning dismissal of the person in question.
