298 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science the amount of money allocated for renting permanent buildings and prefabricated buildings for primary and second level schools in 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7823/03]
The allocation under my Department's subhead for the rental of temporary premises for primary schools in 2003 is €8.489 million. This provision is intended to cover grant aid to primary schools for the rental and associated costs of temporary accommodation of all kinds. No breakdown is made between categories of accommodation.
Provision for the rental of temporary accommodation in respect of second level schools is made in the overall capital budget for that section. Accordingly, no separate data for expenditure are available.
