Vol. 563 No. 4

Written Answers - Health Board Staff.

Willie Penrose

Question:

404 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork who wishes to retire on health grounds, has been advised that they are not entitled to added years under the local government scheme for non-office grade employees, which in this person's case would be a maximum of two years added service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7740/03]

Responsibility in this case for the granting of a pension entitlement under the local government superannuation scheme rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
