Vol. 563 No. 4

Written Answers - Hospital Services.

Liz McManus

Question:

406 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the estimated cost in 2003 for each of the major Dublin teaching hospitals of providing the existing level of service; the difference in each case between this estimate and the budget determination for each hospital less once-offs; the cutbacks in services which will result; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7755/03]

The Eastern Regional Health Authority is engaged in discussions with the major Dublin teaching hospitals in regard to budgets and the agreed level of services to be provided in 2003. The authority will report back to my Department when those discussions are completed.
