Vol. 563 No. 4

Written Answers - Medical Cards.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

479 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a medical card will be reviewed in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8063/03]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card is, by legislation, a matter for the chief executive officer of the relevant health board/authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
