492 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Health and Children his views on whether the dilapidated prefabricated buildings which house the Ballyfermot Mental Health Centre are suitable for the purpose for which they are currently being used by the South-Western Health Board; if he will report on discussions with the Eastern Regional Health Authority or with officials from the South-Western Area Health Board regarding future plans for the site which currently houses the Ballyfermot Mental Health Centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 489 to 492, inclusive, together.

Responsibility for the provision of the services referred to rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
