Question:

500 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of people who died from cancer-related illnesses, in County Kerry, in 2000, 2001 and 2002, respectively; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8261/03]

The information requested by the Deputy was obtained from the Central Statistics Office and is provided in the following tabular statement. The Central Statistics Office advises that the information in respect of 2000 is by year of occurrence whilst the information in respect of 2001 and 2002 is provisional, being by year of registration not by occurrence.
