Pat Breen

Question:

539 Mr. P. Breen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if consideration will be given to a person (details supplied) who has applied for legal status here and has a validly contracted marriage to an Irish national; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7707/03]

The person in question has made an application for permission to remain in the State based on marriage to an Irish national. Applications of this type are dealt with in chronological order. Documents have recently been requested from the person to further process the application. When all relevant information is received a final decision will be made.
