169 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when outstanding payments will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8467/03]
The spouse of the person named applied for premium for 13 animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. The application has been fully processed for payment of the 80% advance instalment. The applicant is now deceased but payment will issue shortly to the representatives of his estate.
Two applications in respect of a total of 18 animals were received under the special beef premium scheme on 21 January 2002 and 8 November 2002. The first was submitted by the spouse of the person named who was the registered herdowner. The application has now been cleared for advance payment to the representatives of the estate of the applicant and the payment will issue shortly. The second application was submitted by the person named and will be processed for payment when the change of ownership to that person has been completed.
170 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason there is such a delay in processing an application for NIA for a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and when the person can expect payment. [8506/03]
A completed application in this case was not received by my Department until 19 February 2003. The eligibility of the applicant concerned, in particular as regards the educational and training requirements of the national scheme of installation aid, is currently being examined and the outcome will be notified in due course to the person concerned.
