Question:184 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Education and Science the possible forms of redress that are available to a person (details supplied) in County Cork in relation to an ongoing dispute with University College Cork. [8491/03]
Written Answers - Industrial Disputes.
As the Deputy is aware, the Universities Act 1997 confers autonomous statutory responsibilities on universities in relation to the day to day management of their affairs. I understand that the issue raised by the Deputy relates to a case taken against UCC and that this matter has been dealt with by the Supreme Court. I have no function, as Minister, in relation to this case.
