Vol. 564 No. 2

Written Answers - General Practitioner Services.

Paul Kehoe

Question:

192 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding the introduction of Caredoc in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9171/03]

My Department's allocation in the Abridged Estimates Volume for 2003 includes funding for the expansion of general practitioner out of hours co-operatives. The allocation of this funding will be determined in the near future following the completion of a series of meetings convened by my Department with each of the health boards, including the South-Eastern Health Board, wishing to expand its out-of-hours co-operatives in 2003.
