217 Dr. Cowley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the steps his Department has taken to utilise and comply with the Kyoto Protocol, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9047/03]

I refer to the replies to Questions Nos. 95, 135, 312 and 313 of 1 April 2003 and Nos. 530 and 531 of 11 March 2003 as regards the implementation of the national climate change strategy, and use of emissions trading under the Kyoto Protocol.
