Question:221 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of persons in County Wexford who were refused the first time buyer's grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9157/03]
Written Answers - Housing Grants.
I assume the question relates to applications refused following the termination of the new house grant scheme as and from 14 November 2002, where applications were required to be received in my Department on or before 4 December 2002. Fourteen such applications were received from County Wexford subsequent to that date and grants, accordingly, cannot be allowed in these cases.
