The above-named person submitted an application under the scheme of installation aid, SIA, on 4 September 1996. As the application was deemed to be incomplete, it was returned to the applicant requesting that it be re-submitted with the necessary additional documentation. Further documentation was received from the above-named person on 15 January 1998 but it was again returned to the applicant seeking further information. To date, the applicant has not submitted this information to my Department.
A further scheme, the national scheme of installation aid, NIA, was introduced in December 1998. There is no record in my Department of any application having been made by the above named person under that scheme.

Question:127 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will receive payment for scrapie depopulation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9167/03]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 126 and 127 together.
Scrapie was confirmed in the flock of the person referred to on 21 January 2003 and the flock was slaughtered on 4 March 2003. In this case my Department was not satisfied that the initial valuation reasonably reflected the market value of the animals and appealed the valuation. The valuation process has now been concluded and the flockowner accepted the second valuation for the amount of €38,600 on 25 February 2003.
The flockowner has received a part payment of €33,518.00 on 27 March 2003. The balance is currently being processed and payment will issue this week.
