Question:156 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism when a national lottery grant of ?40,000 will be paid to Killererin GAA Club, County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9103/03]
Written Answers - National Lottery Funding.
A grant of €40,000 was provisionally allocated to the club in question under the 2002 sports capital programme administered by my Department. The grant was allocated towards the upgrading of pitches, dressing rooms and the installation of floodlights. To date, some of the documentation necessary for formal confirmation of the grant has been submitted, but further documentation is still required and a letter giving details of the further information was sent to the club by the sports division of my Department on 3 March 2003. To date, there has been no response to that letter. On receipt of the necessary documentation, the matter will be dealt with by my Department.
