182 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children further to Parliamentary Question No. 407 of 11 March 2003, the breakdown of the way in which the ?6.06 million in 2002 and ?1.64 million in 2003 was spent; the number of additional consultants in place and the locations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9062/03]

In 2002, additional revenue funding of €6.061 million was allocated to provide for the appointment of additional consultants in child and adolescent psychiatry, for the enhancement of existing consultant-led multi-disciplinary teams and towards the establishment of further teams. A further €1.64 million was allocated in 2003. The breakdown is:

In 2002, my Department gave approval for an additional consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist in the Mid-Western Health Board and in the North-Western Health Board. The Eastern Health Regional Authority also approved two additional consultant child and adolescent psychiatrists.
