118 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not yet received area based payments for 2002 and ewe premium; when will these payments issue to him; and the reason for the delay. [9430/03]
Investigations into whether or not the holding of the person named and that of his father were being farmed as a single unit in 2002 caused a delay in making payments under the 2002 area-based payment scheme and the 2002 ewe premium scheme. These investigations indicate that both holdings were being farmed separately and consequently arrangements are being made to have the amounts due under the above schemes paid to the person named shortly.
