Vol. 564 No. 3

Written Answers - Iodine Tablets.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

183 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children when iodine tablets will issue to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6W; and if the tablets have been dispatched. [9259/03]

On 21 October 2002 my Department placed a public notice in national newspapers advising persons who did not receive a supply of iodine tablets or who did not receive a sufficient number of tablets via the postal distribution which took place during June and July that they should contact their local health board to arrange for the collection of the additional tablets required. Contact details for each health board were included in the public notice.

My Department recently wrote directly to the persons concerned advising them that if they had not already done so, they should contact their local health board and request the number of tablets required.
