Vol. 565 No. 3

Private Business. - Report of Joint Committee on Standing Orders: Motion.

Before coming to notices under Standing Order 31, I propose to deal with an item of private business, No. 1, the report of the Joint Committee on Standing Orders in regard to the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Charter (Amendment) Bill 2002. I understand that the Minister of State at the Department of the Taoiseach, Deputy Hanafin, wishes to propose arrangements for dealing with the motion.

I propose that, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, the motion regarding the report of the Joint Committee on Standing Orders, Private Business, shall be decided without debate.

Is that agreed? Agreed.

An Leas-Cheann Comhairle:

The Joint Committee on Standing Orders, Private Business, reports that it has nominated the following Deputies to serve on the Joint Committee on the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Charter (Amendment) Bill 2002: Deputies Curran, Enright and O'Sullivan.

I move: "That the report be laid before the Dáil."

Question put and agreed to.
