140 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a cheque will be reissued for the slaughter premium scheme to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11016/03]
Twenty animals were found to be eligible to the above named scheme under the 2002 slaughter premium scheme. However, advance payment for the amount of €1,280 issued in the name of the late father of the above named as the papers relating to an ownership query were not finalised on this case. The cheque in question was returned to the Department for re-issue.
These papers have now been finalised, and a producer acknowledgement has been signed by the above named to enable participation in the scheme. The cheque for the above amount has been processed for re-issue and will issue shortly.
