Vol. 565 No. 4

Written Answers. - Departmental Offices.

Seán Ryan

Question:

65 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will report on his proposals for the future of the Teagasc centre at Lusk, County Dublin; the range of facilities-courses currently provided at the centre for the farmers-horticulturists in the region; and the way and location in which he proposes to provide sustainable suitable alternative accommodation for these services in the event that he approves the sell off this much needed facility. [11319/03]

Under the provisions of the Agriculture (Research, Training and Advice) Act 1988, responsibility for the provision of research, training and advisory services for the agri-food sector has been assigned to Teagasc. Arrangements for the delivery of these services are an operational matter for Teagasc.
