80 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has reassessed the listing of all primary school projects following all of the representations and parliamentary questions received by his Department in regard to applications made by boards of management for the provision of new schools, school extensions, pre-fabs and general school repairs; if, as part of that reassessment and as stated in issued documentation by his Department that the said information will be updated quarterly, Ballyshannon national school, Kilcullen, County Kildare has been redesignated as compared to the original list or if the band rating of the school has changed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 80 to 85, inclusive, and 99 to 105, inclusive, together.

The programme published on my Depart ment's website is designed to give the maximum amount of information to managers, boards of management, principals, parents and students. It also gives an assurance that the programme is being operated in an open and transparent manner. Detailed information has been provided in the programme regarding the status of projects. Section 1 provides a cost summary on how funding is to be expended.
Projects are selected on the basis of objective criteria as published in the programme. Any changes to it will be updated on a quarterly basis on my Department's website.
The budgetary allocation for 2004 and subsequent years will determine the rate of progress on applications and projects that could not be included in this year's programme.
