Vol. 565 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Curriculum.

Denis Naughten

Question:

110 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the action he intends to take to address the concerns of parents as outlined in correspondence (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11341/03]

It is a matter for school management to ensure that appropriate teaching services are provided for students and that curricular requirements are met. At the request of the chief executive officer of the relevant vocational education committee, a member of my Department's inspectorate visited the school and the teacher in question last year and provided advice and assistance. My Department's inspectorate will be in further touch with the chief executive officer in the very near future and will respond to any immediate requests by the school authorities in regard to the matters of concern to parents.
