John Perry

Question:

205 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Sligo has not received the slatted shed grant; if it will be released instantly in view of the fact that all documentation is lodged and inspections carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11963/03]

The person named is an applicant under the farm waste management scheme. A preliminary inspection of the applicant's premises took place on 21 February 2003 and a decision that the investment works concerned may proceed is expected to issue shortly. It is a strict condition of the scheme concerned that no grant aid is payable in respect of any works carried out prior to the issue of such approval.
