208 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the fifth year REP scheme payment, in view of the fact that their application for payment was submitted on 31 January 2003. [12099/03]
The application for payment from the person named was lodged initially in my Department on 31 January 2003, together with an amended agri-environmental plan. However, the amended plan was incomplete and was therefore returned to him on 13 March. It was resubmitted to my Department's local office on 21 March and the application is now being processed in accordance with the timescales set out in the protocol on direct payments to farmers.
