247 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Finance if he has given further consideration to establishing Government offices in Tallaght, Dublin 24; if his attention has been drawn to the huge potential in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11958/03]
There are already significant Government offices in leased office accommodation in Tallaght.
The Commissioners of Public Works are currently engaged in discussions with South Dublin County Council with a view to maximising the development potential for the State of the Tallaght Garda station site. These discussions are nearing completion. An application for planning permission for the redevelopment of the site will be made before the end of 2003.
