Vol. 566 No. 1

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Paul McGrath

Question:

268 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the process to be followed by an Irish passport holder in order to obtain the necessary entry visas and papers to visit Iraq. [12103/03]

I understand that pending the establishment of a new Iraqi Government there is no formal process in place for entry to Iraq at this time. Due to the current security situation, travel to Iraq is not considered safe at the present time.
