Question:

337 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will cede to South Dublin County Council, the piece of land at Ballymount Road Upper in Kingswood Heights which is required by the council and requested by them to facilitate the construction of a much needed footpath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11955/03]

An application has been received from South Dublin County Council to provide land for the construction of a footpath along the property in question. The proposal is being examined by officials in the building unit of my Department and a decision will be conveyed shortly directly to South Dublin County Council.

338 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Education and Science his plans for the lands currently in the ownership of his Department at Kingswood Heights, Tallaght, Dublin 24; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11956/03]

A number of proposals has been put to my Department in relation to the future use of the site at Kingswood Heights. No final decision has been taken in this matter, however.
