Vol. 566 No. 1

Written Answers. - Autism Services.

Tony Killeen

Question:

437 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a study into autism and possible links with gastro intestinal dysfunction is confined to persons over 16 years of age; if there are plans to extend the study to a younger cohort; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11655/03]

I assume the Deputy is referring to the research study funded by my Department, through the Health Research Board, into possible links between autism and gastro intestinal dysfunction. This study is not confined to persons over 16 years.
