Vol. 566 No. 1

Written Answers. - Ardfert Cathedral.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

696 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the survey carried out on the excavation at Ardfert Cathedral, Tralee, County Kerry; when it is likely that the survey will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11376/03]

An initial draft text of this report has now been completed and this is currently being edited. The specialist report on the human remains is still awaited and this will be included in the final report. Taking account of the need to finalise this specialist report, it is now expected that a final draft will be ready by the end of the September.

I will arrange for a copy of the published report to be forwarded to the Deputy.
