Question:701 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government his views on the construction of two piers and slipways at Bannow Bay in County Wexford. [11405/03]
Written Answers. - Harbours and Piers.
My Department was not consulted prior to the construction of a pier and a slipway at the two locations in question. I am advised that planning permission was not sought for either of these developments and that Wexford County Council is considering the service of enforcement proceedings in relation to them.
I also understand that the Department of Communications, Marine and Natural Resources is investigating these developments in relation to foreshore licence requirements.
