716 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will report on progress on proposals for developing PPP arrangements to increase the supply of affordable rented accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11650/03]
As indicated in the Social Partnership Agreement 2003-05, Sustaining Progress, consideration is being given to developing public private partnership arrangements in relation to rental accommodation, focusing initially on households in need of rental assistance. Preparatory work is currently being carried out with a view to undertaking a pilot programme.
