93 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children when the end of year hospital waiting list figures for December 2002 will be published; the reason for the delay in publishing these figures in view of the fact that the figures for December 2000 and December 2001 were each published in March of the subsequent year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department collates and publishes acute hospital waiting list data which is submitted by health agencies in respect of the position as at 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December each year.

Figures in respect of the position as at 31 December 2002 will be published shortly. The information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as the figures are published.
