John Deasy

Question:

104 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason home care attendants employed by the South-Eastern Health Board have not received their payment under the national pay agreement which changed their pay and conditions of employment in January 2000; if payment for these individuals will issue immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for payment of this award rests with the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
