135 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Health and Children in view of the current shortage of certain medicines due to manufacturing problems, recently highlighted by pharmacists, the steps he intends to take to guarantee the supply of such medicines; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have not been made aware of any recently arising concerns in regard to current shortages of certain medicines due to manufacturing problems but I have requested officials in my Department to make contact with the Irish Pharmaceutical Union to ascertain if there are specific concerns which need to be addressed in this regard.
