Vol. 566 No. 2

Written Answers. - Health Campus.

Paddy McHugh

Question:

139 Mr. McHugh asked the Minister for Health and Children the outcome of his Department's consideration of the project planning brief for Tuam health campus received by his Department from the Western Health Board on 8 October 2002; if, in consideration with the Western Health Board, he will ensure resources are made available to enable detailed design work to commence immediately; when he intends to meet a deputation from the Western Health Board that has requested to discuss this project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12449/03]

My Department is reviewing the national development plan position of all health boards and the Eastern Regional Health Authority for the remainder of the plan. There will then be a requirement for each health board and the Eastern Regional Health Authority, in consultation with my Department, to agree a prioritised list of developments based on the funding available. The progress of the Tuam campus will be considered in this context.
