119 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Education and Science the special needs and classroom assistant posts in national schools in the Mayo area sanctioned to commence in September 2004; and the schools to which they will be attached. [12453/03]
Applications for special needs supports are generally submitted to my Department by schools close to the time of a pupil's enrolment. My Department is therefore not in a position at this time to indicate the level of resources that will be sanctioned in September 2004. My Department processes applications for such resources on a term basis and schools are notified of allocations accordingly.
