A declaration of acceptance of post-nuptial citizenship from the person referred to by the Deputy was received in my Department on 5 September 2002.
Following an examination of the declaration and supporting doucmentation by officials in the citizenship section of my Department, a letter issued in the last week to the person concerned regarding aspects of the completion of the forms. When these matters are rectified, it should be possible to finalise the matter.
I will advise the Deputy when the matter has been concluded.
