Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.

Dan Neville

Question:

192 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Education and Science his views on the unacceptable response of the State to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12, who was diagnosed with autism some months ago. [13128/03]

In general, provision for children of pre-school age is the responsibility of the relevant health authorities.

However, I am arranging for an officer of the special education section of my Department to contact the person to whom the Deputy refers to discuss some specific issues raised in the details supplied.
