196 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the application by Monaghan VEC for grant aid or support to provide adequate accommodation at Tanagh for the outdoor event centre that has been under discussion for the past number of years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Currently, my Department provides annual grants in respect of nine recognised VEC outdoor education centres. Consideration is currently being given to the recognition of three additional centres, including the centre in Tanagh. The question of capital funding in respect of this centre can only be considered in the event that formal recognition of the centre is awarded by my Department.
