211 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children the legal costs to the State in defending court claims in cases of claims regarding services for people with disabilities. [13069/03]

The legal costs met by this Department in defending court claims in cases of claims regarding services for people with disabilities is €616,448.10 for the period 1996 to date. These figures are indicative rather than definitive due to the time delay in furnishing the costs for legal fees.
