Written Answers. - Commission Report.
The report of the commission on financial management and control systems in the health service, chaired by Professor Niamh Brennan, was formally presented to me on 23 March last. Two related reports, which were commissioned by the Minister for Health and Children, namely, the audit of structures and functions in the health system and the report of the national task force on medical staffing, are nearing completion. I am currently considering the Brennan report in conjunction with my colleague the Minister for Health and Children. It is our intention to bring proposals in relation to this report and the two related reports to Government in the near future.
