Question:

336 Mr. O'Connor asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will seek confirmation from the Eastern Regional Health Authority that the newly developed ambulance base at Tallaght, Dublin 24, will now be opened and operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14510/03]

Responsibility for the provision of ambulance services in the eastern region, which includes Tallaght, rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
